17 months - today!
Can you believe the langbaby is 17 months old, where does the time go??? She weighs 19 pounds, we dropped a few when she got sick and she hasn't been able to gain them back. Height, I'm not sure, but as you can see in the pictures posted earlier, almost as tall as a stove. She starts ECI next Monday with a Occupational Theropist in hopes that she starts to eat better. From the diagnosis we got today, from the ECI staff, she is considered atypical in the nutrition/eating portion of development and is requiring extra help. So that is the reason for the theropist, hopefully he will get her eating better. They also think she is behind in upper body muscles, didn't know she should be weight training already, but I am a first time parent, I didn't know we should worry about weight training. They said that could be due to her early gestation or just the way she was made. So they are hoping with a little theropy she can gain some upper body strength and gain better mouth muscles. They think she gets tired due to low mucles tone in her mouth area and that is the reason she won't chew long enough to get the food swallowable, we will see. It is worth a try, I hate that they turn all this into the school system so she will be labeled, but if it helps that is all the matters. Just a few things going on at the 17 month mark!
